iRing Inc. based in North Bay, Ontario, Canada was incorporated on May 1, 2007 and has distributors throughout the world. It produces a software package called Aegis to help mining engineers design underground drill and blast ring patterns for underground mines. The company specializes in underground blasting applications, consulting, training and research. The software allows mining engineers to lay out ring patterns for entire stopes in a short period of time. There are currently two modules available for sale Aegis Designer and Aegis Analyzer.

With an inter-disciplinary team of blasting experts, mining engineers, software developers and mathematicians, iRing’s main focus is to develop leading edge underground mining technologies and solutions.

In 2014, iRing won the Northern Ontario Business Awards – Innovation Award and was nominated for the prestigious Ernest C. Manning Innovation Awards for the Aegis toolset.
